What a long strange watery trip it’s been. Tonight I sit here in waterlogged North Central Florida with Hurricane-lite Debby soaking one and all for days.. One must always remember that when you do rain magic to end the drought and stop the fires that the Goddess takes this kind of business very seriously which is good. We did remember to add, with no big winds and minor damage!

It’s a good thing that the Full Moon on July 3 is in Capricorn, an Earth sign, so that we can all ground a little bit. However the fact that intense and subversive Pluto sits very close to the Moon and Mars just enters Cardinal sign Libra with the Cancer Sun opposing the Moon and unpredictable Uranus in Aries squaring the Moon and Pluto, there will be plenty of fireworks before “Independence Day” arrives. With this cast of characters relating so explosively with each other, there is no telling what kind of Independence might unfurl itself as the flags and fireworks break through the summer night. I would look for some big surprises happening or being launched at this time regarding the global political and economic scene. The Sun at the time of the Full Moon is at 12 degrees of Cancer which conjoins the star Sirius, the Dog Star and our closest and brightest star. This star is also known as The Gateway to Isis and is of mythic importance in many ancient cultures. Even though this may be an explosive time, it should be a time of extreme spiritual unfoldment where we literally elevate and shift our vibrational fields.

I wanted to wait to write this column till after the first exact Uranus/Pluto square of June 24th occurred because I knew that something would break loose be it weather, politrix, social issues or all three and so it was.  Of course Debby, the stealth hurricane that no one could predict, is still spinning in the Gulf befuddling all the newscasters. Given the date that it burst on the scene, this was not going to be your granny’s hurricane and no doubt it will break many records of one kind or another before it’s done. Neptune after all is in its own watery sign Pisces squaring Jupiter the planet of expansion in the sign of Gemini, so lots of water everywhere and some wind to whip it up a bit too.

Whatever Neptune touches can become shrouded in mystery and or confusion. One shouldn’t be too obsessed with following the left brain at this time as it will not necessarily lead you to the right conclusion whereas your intuition can shine like a beacon for the Truth and will not lead you astray if you learn to read her more subtle signs. July opens with a fiery Grand Trine with the Moon in Sag., Mercury in Leo and Uranus in Aries so we should be busting out of the gate with loads of energy, projects to begin, and creative passion to explore… Hopefully the fires that are raging in the west will be under control by this time as the energy will surely amp up the heat in every way. Adding Air to the flames of the Grand Trine in Fire, Venus and Jupiter will be conjoining in Gemini but not too close. This should be a very playful time and probably confusing as well. Gemini likes variety and because Venus just got out of retrograde, if you are single you may want to sample love’s banquet for a while before you commit.

Quoting the always outrageous Mae West, “When torn between two evils, I generally take the one I haven’t tried yet!” We have been going through so many heavy transits and we will continue on that path so it’s really good to find those gentle times to play and let your spirit run free for a time. We are all needing a bit more play in our lives as a contrast for all the challenges that we are undergoing. Indeed we must “Enlighten Up” and there are so many ways to enjoy this aspect of our changing perspectives.

More music and creativity of any kind is an antidote to being sucked into the fear-based vortex of the Mainstream Tower of Babble that passes for News and information. With the cluster of Gemini planets, and expansive Jupiter in Gemini in particular, the misinformation, misquotes and misunderstandings are likely to be legion not to mention that on July14 Mercury will go retrograde again for 3 weeks till August 7 so you can quadruple this effect during the retro dance.Image may be NSFW.

Interestingly enough, Uranus, which is the higher octave of Mercury, is going retrograde on July 13 so this should have an interesting effect on that retro cycles of both planets although Uranus moves so much slower. I think that the potential is for the elevation of the thought processes through both luminaries. We ideally can make the time to allow our intellect and spirit to catch up with each other so that our thoughts, which are personally and collectively so empowered these days, can clear out the old knee jerk responses in favor of a more inspired and progressive way.

As many of you may know, Mercury Retrograde can be problematic if you are trying to move forward but it does not have to be a disastrous time in and of itself. If you follow a few wise rules you can make this a very constructive time by working to finish longstanding projects and getting all your proverbial ducks or crystals in a row before July 14 and take action or wait and fine tune your plans and decisions till after Aug 7 and then launch. This includes large expenditures, relationship decisions, electrical items, etc. On the other hand this can be a great time for clutter clearing on all levels and reconnecting with old friends or ideas. If you want to fly something under the radar, the retro mist can provide just the cover. Keep in mind, the Cabal knows this as well and will be using their smoke and mirrors to cover their dirty deals and inflate the propaganda machinery.

Even though I have spoken at great length about the Uranus/Pluto square for the last 2 years, we have finally hit the first of the exact squares on June 24th with 7 more coming down the pike. With Iconoclastic Uranus in independent Aries, with both energies loving a good rebellion and subterranean Pluto bent on exposing the corporate shadow of conservative Capricorn and for that matter shining a hard unforgiving light on the shadow in general.

In the 60′s we saw the conjunction of Uranus and Pluto in the earth sign Virgo. This is the time when all the liberation movements were birthed. I must tell you that these were the most amazing times and I was right in the thick of it. Marching in the streets of DC at many antiwar protests seeing the light through tear gassed eyes, Woodstock, Black Panthers, Gay and Lesbian Pride, Women’s Rights, Farmworkers, Earth Day…. all of us fighting to right the wrongs, so many beautiful dreams, so many heroes and heroines murdered, our own Cultural Revolution with leadership on all levels never to return to support the vision that these sacred moments unveiled. The Spirits held us as we downloaded these Utopian ideals into our DNA. As the Square creates a Critical Mass – and these visions are not only lovely but absolutely necessary for the survival of the planet – we gather in groups virtual or on the ground and breathe new life into these embers of a long held flame and let the flame of freedom, liberation and love fill the hearts everywhere so that we create a chord of communion so loud and strong that it is irrepressible and simply lifts the Old World Order out of this dimension. Allowing it no safe quarter to enslave the people and the planet any longer.

By the New Moon on July 19 EDT we may need to face some of these personal and global challenges when transiting Mars and Uranus exactly oppose each other. With this energy nobody is going to have a lot of patience, and hair trigger tempers could fly especially with Pluto lurking close enough for rock n roll. This is a good time to be very careful and not push the river in any way.

Find constructive release as safely as possible. The world scene could show groups or countries that are perched precariously on the edge and potentially falling over the edge, so good time for loads of prayers and morning meditations to steady yourself as well. In these times of Earth Changes, any volatile energy from the planets can also manifest themselves on the Earth. Thinking positively, when there is such a groundswell of energy for liberation, amazing revolutions/evolutions and even inventions can be the result as well. Last but not least, Saturn in Libra in its later degrees is holding the space for Justice to Prevail. So much of the world is out of balance and there is a tremendous outpouring of energy on so many levels to achieve this balance. Mother Nature has a hand in it for sure, hence the Earth Changes, and many types of activists are working tirelessly for changes that will sustain her as well. ARIES- I am feeling all kinds of new feelings and sometimes I want to jump out of my skin! Uranus is definitely having its way with me and I think I like it but sometimes I wonder where it is leading me. I always love a good adventure and this surely is that. Sometimes this Aries needs to be a little more observant of others and this Uranian vibe is making it even harder to not be all about ME. I know that part of this is a good awareness and I need to focus on me in good ways but just not all the time.

TAURUS – Guess this is no time for me to be a stubborn Taurus is it? Nah, gotta get over myself and get with the program. I don’t like having too many choices and right now I feel like I am being cast out of my comfort zone every day. I need to be willing to reach for the stars and not just settle for security and routine. My body has been talking to me lately and I know that I am needing more touch [any offers?] as well as more exercise and I think that will help my nerves too. Must check that out.

GEMINI – Oooh this has got to be my month, wow! Jupiter and Venus in my sign OMG. How many parties can I go to? Maybe I need to funnel all this energy toward some good causes. I like people who think about making a new better world, so I can protest and party. I like that and it may even be OK that Mercury is going retro again damn, well at least I will have the first 1/2 of the month to explore. It’s high time that I had a partner now that Venus stopped backing up. I got it,I will find some fascinating people who protest for Women’s Rights and I will write theirspeeches and find a good partner. Yup that ought to do me

CANCER – I am not at all sure that I am going to enjoy this month even though it is my month. My emotions can be so strong and empathic and I can feel the earth move under my feet and I am not just singing. Even putting this into words feels kind of unsettling. I will spend much more time in the water and on my other keyboards and remember to meditate every day. LEO – I always knew that I was the brains of this outfit and now Mercury in my sign will prove it. Yeah I know that it will be retro after the 14th but I have got lots to think about and many plans to make so I will be happy for some down time later on. Hey I just might have a new honey or my honey might feel brand new with Venus and Jupiter picking up the vibes and ya know a Lion needs to be able to lay` around the lair to enjoy the loveliness of her mate.

VIRGO – Yes! Mars has gone over to Libra, thank the Goddess! Maybe now I can get some rest and not have to do everything that jumps onto my plate. I will let my house get sloppy but not too bad, I will just LET GO a little bit. Don’t know who I thought put me in charge of every detail under the Sun but I am letting that go and passing the torch to Libra who needs to be a little less lazy if you ask me and I know that you didn’t. New Rules: relax and allow the mind to focus and prioritize and then do less.

LIBRA – Get off it, Virgo. I am not lazy, I just think about what I am going to do next and then there comes the decision, which to do first? Therein lies the rub. I can feel already that Mars in my sign will kick it all up a notch or two or three even. My creative juices are really flowing and I just need to take the time to write or paint or…again there is that decision problem. Well, with Mars in my pocket I will simply do it all. Who wants to be on my dance card cause I am going to be the one with the red rose in her teeth.

SCORPIO – I better have my fun this month because Saturn is going to come knocking on my door in October and I need lots of time to sew my wild oats and I will of course do that with the utmost class and discretion unlike some of the other signs on this wheel. The summer makes me feel a little sluggish but I will try to slosh around with the other water babies who should be swimming all day anyway. From inside my pool I can solve the deepest mysteries and issues of the planet.

SAGITTARIUS – My psyche is on fire and it feels like a million bursts of inspiration want to take me off on a magical carpet to some exotic place. It’s time for me to live a less ordinary life. It is in my stars and I want to make it happen, no more excuses. I have everything that I need and I can use the Mercury retro to tie up the loose ends and then….Warp Speed Beam Me up Flashie. CAPRICORN – Pluto! What the hell do I need to do to get you off my back? How many more pains and resentments must I release to be fully cleared? Believe me I don’t want to do the work that seems to pile up in front of me but I just figure if I don’t nobody will and then that will reflect badly on me anyway. I do finally feel like I have a plan and my liberation is in sight. Can’t tell ya now though because that might blow it for me and I have waited too long so maybe a little secrecy here. I can feel it pulling me near.

AQUARIUS – I am feeling so exhilarated by the revolutionary/evolutionary fervor showing itself everywhere. I no longer feel like such a lone voice in the wilderness. The Aliens are finally not all alone and we are showing the world a better way. The hell with the system, the Matrix, let it fall apart and we will put it together better. Don’t worry, be happy, the Healing is coming and… We are the ones that we have been waiting for Aho!
